THERE! I said it!
[OK, deep breath…]
Ken here. I’m the founder of ClothingPhotography.com and Upgraded Images Product Photography Studio, and I’ll admit it – I hate writing blog posts. If there was a club, I’d run for president. (Or at least secretary or one of the positions that gets you to the donuts before everyone else at the weekly meetings.)
“But Ken!” [you say] “If you hate writing blog posts so much, then what the heck is this?!”
This, my friend, is our last blog post. Well, I reserve the right to change my mind at some point in the future, but for now, put a planet-sized PERIOD at the end of this one. OK, maybe grapefruit-sized.
“WHY?!”, you ask. (Geez you’re inquisitive, aren’t you?!)
Well, we’ve had over a dozen different websites for our product and clothing divisions since we started being a thing in 2005, and writing blog posts has always been the one part of it that felt like a weird chore. Sure, we’ve hired freelance writers, search engine optimization (SEO) specialists and the like to write posts over the years, but they’ve always just had one target audience in mind… Search Engines!
So yeah, the search engines aren’t gonna like this post at all, and it’s unlikely that anyone will ever even read it (you know… on account of the search engines not liking it), but I’m having a kick of a time writing this right now. So YAY! I’m literally hammering this out in under 30 minutes and then getting back to what it is that we do best here… TAKING AWESOME PHOTOS! (OK, putting that in bold was maybe a little bit for the engines. Gotta give ’em SOMETHING, right?)
Oooh, I’ve gotta say that I feel no small sense of relief knowing that this is it… The last blog entry! Wow. And you don’t even know the whole story. We’ve literally had dedicated posts listing the top 5 photo studios in Los Angeles (another way to say “our local competitors”) WITH LINKS TO THEIR WEBSITES because our SEO team said that it would get us clicks. I thought I had rolled my eyes loudly enough for them to hear me over the phone, but I relented and let them have their way.
NO MORE! I’m out! Last post. Done!
If you’re a current client reading this, you likely already know that I have a sense of humor. If you’re new to the site, well… this is my sense of humor. *bows uncomfortably*
